How Good Is the OVC?

Due to a lack of playoff success, the OVC does not enjoy a very good reputation in football.  However, results on the field show that for this year- perception may not be reality.  Here is a look at how teams from the OVC have done against non-conference foes this year:

Against FCS competition:   8 wins, 3 losses.

Against BCS competition:   1 win, 8 losses.

Against other teams:  2 wins, 0 losses.

Overall:  12- 11.

However, the most important statistic is against FCS competition.  While the games against BCS teams generate a lot of excitement, they are an unfair measuring stick. The games are always played on the BCS' teams field and, more importantly, the BCS teams have about 20 more scholarships.
