Tidbits From The Nichols Game

*For the second week in a row, JSU completely dominated both sides of the ball. JSU's average gain per play was 7.1 yards and the Gamecocks had 484 yards of total offense. Of JSU's 12 offensive drives, 7 ended for touchdowns.

*Patrick Tatum averaged an incredible 47.2 yards per punt. Question: Can Tatum's leg withstand kicking off 6-8 times a game if JSU continues to score the way it has been.

*Sackmaster Kevin Dix had 2 sacks on the game. Dix, Rodney Garrott and Santez Mays are really bringing pressure off the edge this year. No doubt aided by the Gamecocks stout interior line led by Brandt Thomas and Torrey Davis.

*Sophomore Eric Russell was the Gamecocks leading tackler. He appears to be a star in the making.
